Worth the Wait

Kitty Connection is discounting adoptions for "TLC" kitties like Annie and Cassie

Are you patient, understanding that sometimes the best things in life take time? If so, there could be a new best friend waiting for you at Kitty Connection, a non-profit rescue organization that facilitates pet adoptions throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Kitty Connection calls them “special” kitties – cats who have lost trust in humans or never had it, but whom past adopters (including this writer!) can attest do come around and become wonderful pets with patience and TLC.

Kitty Connection relies on a network of volunteers who foster cats awaiting adoption into forever homes. “TLC” kitties are placed with foster “parents” who specialize in helping them adapt to and trust people. Finding the right homes for this type of cat is a challenge, but one that’s worth it. There is nothing like that day when your formerly fearful kitty decides to snuggle up beside you. Kitty Connection is looking for people who will open their homes and give these kitties a chance (discounted adoption fees will apply). Several “special” kitties are awaiting adoption and a chance to bloom. Here are two.

Cassie

One-year-old Cassie is super playful with toys and fellow felines and is slowly learning to trust people and let them pat her. When she’s done playing, Cassie likes to curl up and nap in a sunny place. She would do best in a home with other cats to play with, and humans happy to give her time to warm up.

Annie

Already a mom at one year old, Annie recently lived on the street and is adjusting to being an indoor housecat. Her kittens have all found homes and now it’s her turn. Annie is gentle and quiet. She sometimes hides but comes out when she feels safe. Playful and energetic, she would prefer a forever home without a dog, but with another playful cat and adopters who are kind and patient – maybe you!

Cassie and Annie are spayed and current with their vaccines. To adopt them or other available pets, visit our website (www.kittyconnection.net) and send a pre-adoption application to kc@kittyconnection.net.
