Drums

Tonight I was invited by Ellen Shore to come and hear the drums at the Temple Beth Shalom.

Members of the Temple and adjoining towns participated; all are welcome.

Each drummer came with their own colorful drums and as the music started....

I hear the beat of the drums, the whisper of the gentle touches of the palms against the skins.

The sound brings out the thoughts of gentle rain upon the leaves, and the slow movement of the clouds in the early dawn.

Then louder, as thunder springs forward in the night to awaken the spirit and the soul to the beauty that surrounds us.

The drums beat, as the wind becomes a part of your being; and there is calm and peacefulness in your heart and soul.
