
It was a sun filled day..
The sky was the bluest I have ever seen it and the soft white clouds were like down pillows.
The angels could rest comfortably and watch the great pines reaching for the sky, and the birch trees almost white as snow starting to show their golden leaves.

There are trees with colors of rust that never seemed to make it through the heat of this summer; but the Maple, dogwoods, and the oak displayed colors of light reds and deep magenta; and the beach trees beautiful shades of golden bronze.
The road was almost void of traffic as I passed through Dresden, Lisbon and Oxford. The small lakes and the new mowed fields that stretched for miles only added to the beauty of the day.

A stop for lunch at the Chick-A-Dee restaurant in Lewiston was as good as I had hoped. I was given a corner table where I could read my book and have the best veggie stir fry that I have ever had.
As the day moved forward and after 7 hours and 191 miles I stood by the silent lake and watched the sun set.
