When Santa had left Main St in Melrose many people started to head for Temple Beth Shalom.
The people were in out of the cold ready and to try the warm Latkes (potato pancakes) and sufganiyots (donuts). cold drinks, and warm hearts.

The Rabbi and Temple volunteers were ready to offer the the Latkes, including sour cream and apple sauce. The line grew and the latkes were refilled, and the people came.

Shirley guarded the bowl of sufganiyouts and made sure every one got their share of donuts.

There was dancing....

There were little kids ( and big kids) having a great time.

The music played non stop as the Kadima Band played wonderful traditional Hanukkah songs.
Jill Goldman's voice filled the hall, Bradley Nelson was at his keyboard and Lloyd Baron was moving among his drums. The three members have made music together for 15 years filling spaces with joyful sounds.
It was a song filled, fun filled, neighborhood party to celebrate the season of joy and peace.
HAPPY HOLIDAY TO ALL.
