Local Healthcare System Wellforce Now Known As Tufts Medicine
The Tufts Medicine network includes MelroseWakefield Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, Lowell General Hospital and more.

BOSTON, MA — Wellforce is changing its name to Tufts Medicine in a change that further integrates the healthcare network with Tufts University.
The change will be reflected throughout the entire network, which includes MelroseWakefield Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, Lowell General Hospital, Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford, Home Health Foundation and more than 2,000 physicians. and a large integrated physician network.
Tufts Medicine will continue its relationship wit Tufts University, the entities having appointed Dr. Helen Boucher interim dean of Tufts University School of Medicine and chief academic officer of Tufts Medicine.
