Melrose-based State Rep. Looking For Interns

MELROSE, MA — State Rep. Kate Lipper-Garabedian announced that she is now accepting applications from those interested in a legislative internship.

According to her representatives, the internship is available on both a part-time basis. The position’s tasks include scheduling, legislative research, database management, constituent correspondence, and social media communications. They will also have the opportunity to experience local government by attending meetings.

Preferred skills of applicants include writing, verbal communication, professionalism, respect for confidentiality, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms. The internship will take place been January and May of 2026.

Lipper-Garabedian represents the 32nd Middlesex District in the House of Representatives, which includes the entirety of Melrose, Ward 5 Precincts 2 and 3A of Malden, and Precincts 4,5, and 6 of the Town of Wakefield. Lipper-Garabedian first took office in the spring of 2020, having previously served as a Melrose city councilor.
