Melrose City Yard Expanding Hours For Remainder Of Fall Season

The expanded hours are a result of the tax override that passed in the election on Nov. 4.

MELROSE, MA — The Melrose City Yard will have expanded hours for the remainder of the fall season.

The location will now be open each Saturday between Nov. 15 and Dec. 6 during the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to allow for residents to drop off recycled materials and yard waste.

The extended hours were attributed to the $13.5 million tax override that was passed by voters in the city’s Municipal Election earlier this month. Part of that override included funding the restoration of five positions in the Department of Public Works.
