Melrose Parkway Project Right Around The Corner

Traffic in the vicinity of Melrose Street intersection will be somewhat impacted.

MELROSE, MA — The Department of Recreation and Conservation announced Tuesday that construction is set to begin on the Melrose Street intersection of LynnFells Parkway.

According to the city, the project’s main objective is to make the area safer for both pedestrians and vehicles through the implementation of traffic signals at intersections, curb extensions, and ramps compliant with the American Disabilities Act.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 21. The DCR will be altering the lanes between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays to allow for the project to be carried out.
The design phase of the project was completed last spring.
