Here we are already into July; half the year has flown by but we are still moving forward.
Our meeting for this month was on July 1st. This is our monthly meeting held the first Wednesday of each month at the Wakefield library.
We usually start by looking for new things to do and old places to visit.

Leaving Switzerland

Koblenz Germany....pieces of the Berlin Wall

You know where this is..Paris
On July 17th. two of our members joined a ship full of people as they went on a Gloucester Harbor Cruise. The trip was one of many that the 200 club presents yearly; the departure is from the Melrose Senior Center.

The menu was great ! Clam chowder, corn on the cob, cole slaw, a buffet with chicken, potato salad, and chocolate mousse for desert. A good time was had by all.
But we still had the 20th. to get ready for. We were going to the Regal Players in Waltham to see Evita.

The story is like a historical biography. A woman's rise from obscurity to international fame while navigating the hopes and struggles of a nation.
The songs were loud with spirit; the dancing outstanding. We all waited to hear the famous, " Don't cry for me Argentina" and we were not disappointed in the song or the show.

We chose an old favorite, the 99 restaurant in Stoneham for excellent food, great service and good conversation.

Ending this month of heat and humidity, we look forward to cooler weather, and many more Red Hat
outings. Keep an eye on the Patch for more adventures.
