Robot Nor’Easter comes to Melrose Sept 20th at MVMMS
Elite field of teams builds national all star calibre event

The Melrose High Robotics Team, Red Hawk Robotics and the Revere High NEUTRONS are co-hosting a brand new event, The Nor’Easter! It will be a new off-season FIRST robotics invitational competition located right here in the city of Melrose! With 16 elite teams, it makes this event one of the top five strongest fields in all of the U.S., happening this month, Saturday, September 20th!
These teams will compete in the 2025 robotics game, REEFSCAPE, with challenges themed around the ocean, bringing a perfect storm of innovation, engineering and teamwork to Melrose.
We have a ton of participation within the community for this event. Dorie Withey will be helping with our keynote kickoff. WPI is going to be on site, aggressively recruiting the high school top talent that is assembled. In addition Comella, Santa Fe, Big Fin Poke, Mexico Lindo, Sweet Spot Bakery, Bohemian Coffee are all providing food at discount for over 200 guests.

The Nor’Easter matches will be held at Melrose Middle School gym alongside the robot pits in the Melrose High School Marcoux Gym, where the teams make real-time robot repairs and maintenance between matches. Admissions is completely FREE to all! Happening 9:00AM to 3:00 PM Saturday September 20th; come by to witness the storm and support our local team!
