Quincy Man Accused Of Kidnapping, Assaulting Girl: Reports

A Quincy man is facing charges that he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a girl, according to reports.

QUINCY, MA — A Quincy man has been arrested on accusations that he kidnapped a Connecticut girl, gave her drugs, and sexually assaulted her, WCVB-5 ABC reported.

Connor Tidd, 22, was charged with second-degree sex assault, risk of injury to a minor, risk of injury to a minor (sexual contact), first-degree kidnapping (advance a felony), first-degree kidnapping (sexual abuse), illegal distribution of a controlled substance, illegal distribution of a controlled substance to someone younger than 18 years old, and enticing a minor.

Tidd is accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old girl and taking her to a motel in Plainfield against her will, NBC CT reported.

Investigators learned Tidd had taken the girl to the Elite Inn in Moosup on March 18. After Tidd failed to respond to verbal commands, officers entered the room and found the girl in the bathroom. Tidd was also in the room and was trying to escape officers, according to NBC CT.

Police then obtained search warrants for Tidd's vehicle and motel room and found evidence to establish probable cause for sexual- and narcotic-related crimes, WCVB-5 ABC reported.

Tidd is being held on $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
