Back To School: See Somerville Public Schools 2023-24 School Calendar

SOMERVILLE, MA — School begins next week for Somerville Public Schools, and calendars are available to help parents prepare for the upcoming school year.

Though some dates are subject to change, here is the list of dates to know for 2023-24.

• Aug. 30, first day of school for grades 1-12
• Sept. 1, no school for Labor Day weekend
• Sept. 4, no school for Labor Day
• Sept. 5, first day of school for PK and K students
• Sept. 13, half day
• Oct. 4, half day
• Oct. 9, no school for Indigenous Peoples' Day
• Sept. 25, half day
• Nov. 7, no school for Election Day
• Nov. 10, no school for Veterans Day
• Nov. 15, half day
• Nov. 22, early release
• Nov. 23-24, Thanksgiving Recess
• Dec. 6, half day
• Dec. 22, early release
