On Thursday, September 9th, Cedar Hill Prep School once again opened its doors to the student population to mark the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. Our campus came to life with the excited voices and reunited faces of our returning students, as well as faces that are brand new to our community. Parents dropped off their children, who were directed to either the middle school entrance or into the lower school building, in addition to a busload of arrivals with CHP's new bus driver Mr. Mac behind the wheel, making sure our students arrived safely and promptly.
Although the morning was rainy, the arrival of students brought plenty of light and joy right to the front doors of CHP. This got the first day off to an excellent start, as faculty members welcomed students with cheers, smiles, and laughter, reassuring them that they each have a place in their home at CHP.
Both new and returning students were also introduced to the teachers who have recently joined our faculty. This year brings additions to the staff in language arts, Spanish, science, social studies, drama, and physical education. The student body, meanwhile, has new members in each class up through Eighth Grade. We greatly look forward to the ways in which each of our new schoolmates at CHP will contribute to our shared environment.
