Gas Leak Affects Traffic On McGrath Highway In Somerville

The incident has resulted in a temporary lane closure.

SOMERVILLE, MA — A gas leak in the vicinity of 709 McGrath Highway Wednesday afternoon resulted in a temporary lane closure, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

The right lane of the Route 28 highway was closed on its northbound side for about three hours as police and fire responded to the leak.

MassDOT announced the lane was reopened ahortly after 3 p.m.
