I-93 Southbound Lane Closures Expected In Somerville: MassDOT

SOMERVILLE, MA – Overnight lane closures on I-93 southbound from exit 22 to Lombardi Street are expected in Somerville next week due to construction, MassDOT officials said.

The closures are as follows:

• Overnight double right lane closures from exit 22 to Lombardi Street underpass, Tuesday, May 30, 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. to perform bridge joint repairs.
• Overnight double left lane closures from exit 22 to Lombardi Street underpass, Wednesday, May 31, and Thursday June 1, 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. to perform bridge joint repairs.
• Overnight triple left lane closures from exit 22 to Lombardi Street underpass, Wednesday, May 31, and Thursday, June 1, 2023, 10:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. to perform bridge joint repairs.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
