Somerville High Students To Compete In High School Quiz Show
The WGBH show's 16th season will premiere in February 2025.
SOMERVILLE, MA — Somerville High School has been selected as one of 17 local schools who will compete in the upcoming 16th season of WGBH’s High School Quiz Show.
Schools go against with each other in four rounds: the toss-up, head-to-head, category, and lightning rounds. The upcoming season will be filmed in front of a live studio audience from Friday, Jan. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 26 as well as Sunday, Feb. 2 at its Boston studio. The season is slated to premiere on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. The show first aired in 2009.
The other schools selected include Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Andover High School, Belmont High School. Buckingham Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge, Deerfield Academy, Hopkinton High School, Lexington High School, Maimonides School in Brookline, Mansfield High School, Milton Academy, North Quincy High School, Saint John’s High School in Shrewsbury, St. John’s Prepatory School in Danvers, Sharon High School, South High Community School in Worcester, and Weston High School.
