Somerville MBTA Station Has Become More Accessible

SOMERVILLE, MA — Ward 1 City Councilor Matt McLaughlin announced that a new entrance has opened at the East Somerville MBTA Green Line station.

As of Friday, the station can now be accessed via Inner Belt Road. The East Somerville station opened in December of 2022 as part of the MBTA’s Green Line extension project. The extension includes six new Green Line stations throughout Somerville and Medford and the relocation and reconstruction of Lechmere Station in Cambridge.
