In December 2021, the City initiated a nine-month public engagement process to understand community priorities for the site. With these priorities established, the city will issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in January 2023 to learn from experienced developers what types of buildings can feasibly be constructed and use that information to issue a request for proposals (RFP) in spring 2023 and select development partners in fall 2023.
The 90 Washington St. Advisory Committee will represent and involve the public in every step of redevelopment. The committee will review responses to the RFQ, development proposals, and technical material submitted through the RFP process, as well as advise city staff in selecting development partners.
