Somerville’s Thirsty Scholar Pub Debuts Weekly Live Music

SOMERVILLE, MA — Thirsty Scholar Pub in Somerville will now have live music every Saturday night, the bar said Monday.

Each week from 8-11 p.m., local artists will showcase their talents at this “Camberville” staple pub. Admission is complementary for customers.

Here is the music schedule for the rest of the year:

• November 5: Orchid Reed Duo
• November 12: Michael Brennan
• November 19: Ryan Faraday
• November 26: Jamie Cain
• December 3: Matt Borrello
• December 10: Nico Rivers
• December 17: George Woods

Other weekly events at the Thirsty Scholar include $1 oysters every Tuesday starting at 4 p.m., trivia night each Wednesday at 7 p.m., and a bimonthly reggae night featuring Conscious Reggae Band. There also is a monthly comedy show and weekend brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
