Car vs. Deer, Stolen Purse and More From the Sudbury Police Log

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following was reported by the Sudbury Police Department on June 11:

  • Officers responded to a two-car accident on Boston Post Road. There were no injuries. Officers helped with the exchange of paperwork.
  • A 911 caller reported a motorist on North Road struck a deer near Davis Field. The motorist was not injured. His car did not need a tow. The deer was dead on the side of the road when responding officers arrived. The deer was removed by the Board of Health.
  • A woman who was at the Longfellow Glen apartments reported her purse was stolen. The woman said she had put her purse down on the sidewalk, left for a short amount of time, and returned to find the purse missing.
  • Officers responded to Hudson Road for a report of a car that had struck a stone wall. No one was injured and no tow was needed.
  • Officers spoke with two parties over a possible fraudulent gift certificate one couple tried to pass on to the other.
  • An officer was dispatched to Nobscot Road for a report of a bad odor in the area. Nothing was found.
