Chief Resigns, Visiting Bear and Town Meeting Among Top Stories in May

No doubt the news about former Sudbury Police Chief Richard Glavin shook the community and was the most-read story on Sudbury Patch for the month of May.

After Town Manager Maureen Valente announced his resignation, more details emerged about the incident that occured in his hometown of Tynsgboro.

Glavin, who spent more than 20 years serving Sudbury, was once awarded for a case he worked on in 1994. He received a commendation for his part in the arrest of a group of professional criminals that were committing a rash of night time burglaries in North Sudbury.
