Deer Breaks into Basement, Domestic Disturbance and More From the Sudbury Police Log

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following was reported by the Sudbury Police Department on June 9:

  • A Drum Lane resident reported a deer became stuck in a window well of his home, broke through the window and entered his basement. The resident asked for help getting the deer out, but the resident was successful in doing so before officers arrived.
  • A Dutton Road resident reported hearing shots fired in the neighborhood. Responding officers determined the shots came from target shooting that was being done in a safe manner while complying with appropriate regulations.
  • A Basswood Avenue resident reported dirt bikes on federal land. The riders gone when officers arrived.
  • An Old Lancaster Road resident reported hearing gun shots in the area. All was quiet when officers arrived.
  • Officers responded to a North Road residence after receiving a 911 hang-up call. The dispatcher heard crying in the background before the caller hung up. Officers responded to ensure everyone in the home was safe. A person at the home said the call was accidental, but an investigation by responding officers revealed there was a verbal dispute between the husband and wife. Both parties were advised of their rights. No arrests were made.
