Painting Workshop Offered by Sudbury Park and Rec

1. Join Sudbury Park and Rec for an active one-day painting workshop. Come create your own whimsy masterpiece inspired by the famous painter, Jackson Pollock. Explore colors of the rainbow as you mix and stir your way to bright new fun shades. Think outside the brush and learn that art is about the creative and journey, not just the end product. Every child’s painting will be different. Everyone will take home a unique, customized, painting on canvas that will be ready to hang or give as a holiday gift.

2. The Wayside Inn Oktoberfest event is Oct. 3 from 6-9 p.m. Enjoy live music, several seasonal autumn beers, as well as authentic German brews. Participants can enjoy some fine drinks and great food in the outdoor Event Tent. With delicious beer-steamed bratwurst and knockwurst, delectable soft pretzels, sauerkraut, warm German potato salad, pork loin sliders and much more, guests can accompany their beers with all-you-can-eat traditional German foods. Tickets cost $25.00 per person.

3. The Sudbury Villagers Club will meet on Oct. 3 at the Goodnow Library Community Room at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will feature refreshments, a short business meeting, followed by the featured speakers, Marie Royea and Dr. John Stevens of Sudbury CERT. They will share some of their experiences with the emergency shelter.
