SUDBURY, MA — A Sudbury Parks and Recreation fall festival scheduled for this weekend has been postponed due to an incoming tropical storm.

The event was set to take place Saturday at Haskell Field with a slate of outdoor activities, including entertainment, food trucks, games and more. The department made the decision Friday morning to postpone the event.

Forecasts around a storm moving up the Atlantic coast had been sketchy until late Thursday. The storm is expected to drop a lot of rain across Massachusetts Saturday and Sunday, although heavier rain will generally fall south of the Mass Pike, according to forecasts. The forecast in Sudbury calls for an 80 percent chance of rain Saturday, mostly after 1 p.m.
