Sudbury Resident Earns Honor at Clemson University
Here are 5 things about Sudbury to start your day.

1. Kathryn Annadel Nicholson of Sudbury graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University on Aug. 9 with a Bachelor of Science in economics.
Nicholson was among more than 800 students who received degrees.

3. The Sudbury Senior Center and Parmenter Community Health are co-sponsoring a workshop on Falls Prevention for older adults on Sept. 26 from 3- 5 p.m. at the Sudbury Senior Center. Come try a mini Tai Chi class, or find out what physical therapists recommend to prevent falls and how a nurse helps people to understand the risks of certain medications. Then listen as one of Sudbury’s own Emergency Medical Technician’s (EMT) tells what happens if you need to call 911. Afterward, stay a few minutes more and try a Better Bones strength and balance mini-class. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, sandwiches and light desserts throughout the afternoon! 4. Sudbury Board of Health Nurse Phyllis Schilp will be at the Sudbury Senior Center with her team of nurses to get you ready for winter flu season. The Flu Clinic will be held at the Sudbury Senior Center on Sept. 19, from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Call in advance to schedule your appointment at (978) 443-3055. Bring all of your health insurance cards, including your Medicare card.
