Town Center Traffic Lights Down Again; Water Row Closed
Crew on its way to fix troublesome traffic lights.

Motorists traveling through Sudbury Town Center this morning were greeted with what has become a reoccuring problem: malfunctioning traffic lights.
According to Lt. Robert Grady, the Sudbury Police Department has detail officers directing traffic until a crew arrives to fix the lights.
"The lights never changed from blinking this morning," he said, adding the changeover usually happens at 6 a.m.

The lights malfunctioned earlier this week, and the time before that was on May 22.
During the May incident DPW Director Bill Place said water possibly got into the control box, causing the malfunction. A plan to rebuild Town Center will include updating the lights.

Place was not able to be reached Friday morning.
Thursday night the area received heavy rainfall, causing Sudbury police to temporarily close Water Row due to flooding.
A sergeant on patrol reported one car could possibly get through the flooded area, but was doubtful two would be able to make it.
"We don't want issues with school buses and cars going through at the same time," Grady said, adding the road will reopen once water levels receed.
