Jewelry Stolen from Watertown Home in Daylight Burglary

The burglar took several items from a home on Barnard Avenue.

A burglar took jewelry from a home on Barnard Avenue during a daylight break in on Feb. 13 at 7:26 p.m.

Police responded to a residential burglar alarm and when police arrived they found the front door was open as well as two interior doors, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

"They discovered one of the doors was pried open," Lawn said.

The burglar took a jewelry box full of costume jewelry, as well as a silver necklace with a charm on it worth $1,000, Lawn said.

A dark gray BMW or Audi was spotted in the area at the time of the break in, Lawn said.
