• Firefighters Extinguish Kitchen Fire in Multi-Unity Building on Main Street (watertownmanews.com) — Watertown firefighters quickly knocked down a kitchen fire in a Main Street apartment on Dec. 22, keeping it from spreading to other units and leaving no one injured. Officials say the blaze started in the cooking area and urge residents never to leave cooking unattended, and to evacuate and call 911 if a fire can’t be controlled safely.

• Watertown Armenian Church Remembers 2 Family Members Killed in Car Crash (watertownmanews.com) — Members of Watertown’s Armenian Memorial Church are mourning longtime congregants Arie Orchanian and his aunt Anie Manoushagian, killed in a car crash after a family funeral. The close-knit family, well known in the community and local schools, is being supported by neighbors and parishioners while investigators have not yet released the cause of the accident.
