Dear Watertown,
On behalf of the Venezia family, we would like to thank you for your outpouring of love and support, both during Artie’s illness and with his passing. Our family was both overwhelmed and humbled, with the prayers, the well wishes, the offers of help and the many kind words that were said about him. Artie spoke about how Watertown shaped him in his youth, and how much he loved this town. He spent the last 40 years trying to pay it back. We realized what he meant to so many people with the incredible turnouts at his services. It was quite a tribute to him. In recent months there has been a lot of talk of Watertown Strong, and deservedly so. In our family’s grief, Watertown was strong for us. We will be forever grateful.
