Monday Essentials: Historical Society at the Trustees, Bach on Tuesday

What's coming this week in Watertown.

1. The public meeting of the Watertown Free Library Trustees on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Raya Stern Trustees Room at 123 Main St. will see members of the Watertown Historical Society attempt to speak on attempts by the trustees to remove Society material from the library to make room for binders for an environmental clean up. 

2. On Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., the Fusion String Ensemble will be performing works by the great J.S. Bach in an open rehearsal. All ages are welcome and there is no registration.

3. The Love Dogs will be performing at Saltonstall Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8. as part of the Watertown Summer Concert Series.

4. The Bike and Pedestrian Committee's monthly meeting will take place on Monday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. in Town Hall, 149 Main St., in the Lower Hearing Room. Anyone interested in any aspect of bicycling or walking in Watertown is encouraged to come and participate. 

5. The Watertown Senior Center's August Movie Matinee is "Local Hero," with Burt Lancaster. on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 1 p.m. to  3 p.m. at the Senior Center.
