Students Wanted for Summer Gardening Program in Watertown
The teens will get a stipend for working with the Watertown Community Gardens program.

The Watertown Community Gardens are looking for middle and high school students to be come part of the Youth Garden Crew this summer.
The students will learn about soil testing, planning a garden bed, planting, tending and harvesting crops to prepare as fresh garden produce.
The Youth Garden Crew will meet with the garden instructor twice a week for six to eight hours a week. Up to eight students will be chosen, and each will receive a stipend of $180 for completing the program, according to the Watertown Community Gardens announcement.

Most of the meetings will take place at the Grove Street Community Garden - 165 Grove St. in Watertown. A few meetings will be at Town Hall or at the Church of the Good Shepherd to use their kitchen.
