Watertown Police Log: Wallet Stolen from Locked Locker, String of Car Breakins

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

July 16, 12:57 a.m.: Police dealt with a domestic incident, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Leonardo Dos Santos Cordeiro, 37, of 68 Winsor Ave. in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

July 19, 11:17 p.m.: Police dealt with a domestic incident, Lawn said. Michael V. Berardi, 50, of 70 California Ave. in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery and threatening to commit murder.

July 19, 10:28 a.m.: Security at CVS detained a man who took three bottles of shampoo worth $22.47, Lawn said. Neville E. Jenkins, 46, of 39 Boylston St. in Boston, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise, a third offense.

Incidents

July 16, 12:52 p.m.: The owner of a canoe reported his boat stolen from General Compression on Coolidge Avenue, Lawn said. He kept the 16-foot Old Down fiberglass canoe, worth $400, at the business.

July 16, 3:55 p.m.: Someone broke into a vehicle on Melendy Avenue and took a Garmin GPS device worth $160, Lawn said.

July 16, 4 p.m.: A 2011 BMW parked on Galen Street was stolen between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on July 16, Lawn said.

July 16, 7:15 p.m.: The owner of a Jeep reported that his car was broken into and a cell phone charger and some change were stolen, Lawn said. When police were there, a neighbor reported that another Jeep was broken into and sunglasses were taken.

July 17, 8:04 p.m.: A man working out at Boston Sports Club left his belongings in a locked locker and went to work out. When he returned his wallet was missing and he discovered his credit card was used at Target for $318, Lawn said.

July 19, 5;03 p.m.: A 13-year-old boy locked his bike up at the Boys & Girls Club and went on a field trip, Lawn said. When he returned it was gone. It was a BMX Haro bike with a gold seat and spray painted black and purple.

July 20, 9:23 a.m.: Someone broke into a Chevy Malibu on Oak Street overnight, but nothing appeared to be missing, Lawn said.

July 20, 11:18 a.m.: A Chevy pickup was broken into on Putnam Street and a 30 pack of beer was stolen, Lawn said.

July 20, 11:36 a.m.: A Nissan Rogue was broken into and rummaged through, but nothing appeared to be missing, Lawn said.

July 20, 12:07 p.m.: A Garmin GPS device was taken from a Chevy Malibu on Melendy Avenue, Lawn said.

July 20, 12:08 p.m.: Someone broke into a Ford Explorer on Hazel Street and took change and two EpiPens, Lawn said.
