Watertown Residents Add to Quilt in Honor of Bombing Victims
The Mending Quilt came to town and Watertown made its contribution to the piece.
A quilt honoring the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombings came to Watertown Monday and residents added its contribution to the piece.
Cambridge artist Clara Wainwright created the piece. Tributes to Sean Collier, the MIT Police Officer killed by the bombing suspect, and Dic Donohue, the MBTA Officer injured in the Watertown Shootout, have been added by people in the Boston area, according to an announcement about the quilt.
Monday night, the quilt came to the Watertown Police Station and town residents added pieces representing Watertown’s role in the aftermath of the bombing.
