Watertown Upsets Tewksbury in Boys Hockey State Tournament

The Raiders move on to the second round after defeating fourth seeded Tewksbury.

The statistics look bad, but Watertown came out on top where it counts in Tuesday's boys' hockey state tournament game against Tewksbury.

The Raiders were outshot by the host team 47-16, but Watertown goalie Anthony Busconi stopped all but two of the shots in the 3-2 win in the Div. 2 North Section game, according to a report in the Lowell Sun.

Watertown (10-9-2), which came in as the 13th seed, upset the fourth seed Tewksbury (14-4-1). The Raiders move on to the quarterfinals to face Concord-Carlisle. The No. 12 seed beat No. 5 Newburyport 4-2.
