Wayland's ELVIS Survey Gauges Town Meeting Attendance
A Town Meeting survey went up this week to gauge attendance at the May 1 governing event.

WAYLAND, MA — Wayland's Electronic Voting Implementation Subcommittee — also known as ELVIS — needs input from Town Meeting members ahead of the May confab.
ELVIS this week published a survey to figure out how many people will attend the May 1 Town Meeting in-person.
"To ensure that we provide the appropriate number of chairs and electronic voting handsets, we’re using this anonymous survey to estimate likely Town Meeting attendance," the survey page says. "Your participation will help reduce cost, and allow us to provide a more efficient and orderly town meeting experience."

The May 1 Town Meeting will be held at the high school field house. The warrant, as it stands, contains traditional items like the town budget, but also new initiatives — like setting aside money to clean historic gravestones, improving the town beach entrance, funding an equity audit and much more.
