3 Shot, 2 Stabbed At Metro Detroit Event Hall After Funeral: Police

HARPER WOODS, MI — Three people were shot and two others were stabbed during a social gathering after a funeral in Harper Woods over the weekend, according to police.

The incident happened at 9:20 p.m. Saturday at the Platinum Affairs event hall on Kelly Road, according to police.

Witnesses told officers a dispute between multiple people escalated to a physical fight that resulted in the triple shooting and double stabbing, according to police.

The victims were privately taken to nearby hospitals where they are expected to survive, though their conditions were unknown, according to police.
