Pink Slipped Trenton Teachers Called Back

Nearly all of the Trenton Public School teachers who were handed pink slips in April and May were called back on June 14.

Eight teachers and one school psychologist were recalled via letter by Trenton Public Schools. Seven teachers responded to the recall letters and have agreed to return to their former positions with the district.

One teacher remains on the recall list.

There were three general education teacher, two special education teachers and one hearing impaired teacher included in .

Trenton Board of Education President Mike Hawkins said he had hoped all teachers would be called back -- in May.
