Road Closures, Prohibited Parking for Trenton Fireworks

There are a number of places thrill seekers will not be allowed to drive or park throughout the areas surrounding Rotary Park during the Trenton Fourth of July Fireworks on July 4.

All road closures and parking restrictions will be clearly marked.

There are three road closures residents should be aware of:

  • West Jefferson from King Road to Harrison Avenue will be closed from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Harrison Avenue east of West Jefferson Avenue will be closed at 5 p.m.
  • Riverside Drive will be closed between and Atwood Street and Truax Street at 5p.m.

 Parking will be restricted in several places surrounding Rotary Park:

  • Parking will be prohibited on the east side of Riverside Drive between Atwood Street and West Road to make room for emergency vehicles
  • Parking will be prohibited on Riverside Drive between Atwood Street and Truax Street
  • Parking will be prohibited on the south side of Atwood Street between West Jefferson Avenue and Riverside Drive
  • Parking will be prohibited on the south side of Harrison Avenue between West Jefferson Avenue and Riverside Drive

Handicap parking will be available on the north side of Atwood Street between Riverside Drive and the Detroit River and on the north side of Harrison Avenue between West Jefferson Avenue and Riverside Drive.

*Road closures and parking restrictions will continue for the July 5 rain date in the event the fireworks are canceled due to weather.
