Trenton Fireworks Forecast Calling for Thunderstorms

Extremely warm weather mixed with showers and thunderstorms could make for an interesting Fourth of July.

It's not easy to light fireworks during a thunderstorm, but Trenton residents might have to figure out a way after the National Weather Service's weather prediction for the .

Independence Day calls for showers and thunderstorms with a high near 90 degrees, according to the NWS.

The Trenton Fourth of July Fireworks are slated to begin at dusk on July 4 and rain could be an issue. The overnight forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a low around 70 degrees.

There's no telling if the rain will last into the fireworks beginning around 10 p.m. or the live music starting at 8 p.m., but the has a back up plan -- just in case.

In the event of rain the city's fireworks display will be moved to July 5, with all entertainment beginning at the original times.
