Trenton Resident Reports Car Stolen; Later Found in Lincoln Park

A 54-year-old Trenton man reported his 1995 Ford Escort was stolen between 9 p.m. July 26 and 5:40 a.m. July 27 in the 2300 block of Third Street.

The man told Trenton police there was a set of keys inside the unlocked car when he parked it for the night. There were also several tools in the vehicle at the time it was stolen.

checked into the car and found it had been impounded by the Lincoln Park Police Department. A Lincoln Park officer told Trenton police they arrested a 50-year-old homeless man who was driving the car with a suspended license.

He added the man said he got the car from a friend in Trenton.

Police told the 54-year-old man he could pick up his car from the Lincoln Park Police Department the same day.
