Trenton Soccer Prepares for District Play

After winning a Downriver League championship, the boys soccer team now will try for a district championship.

The Trojans will host a Division 2 district tournament beginning Tuesday. The field includes Catholic League C-D Division champion Divine Child.

Trenton opens district play at home against Detroit Southwestern on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

If the Trojans win, they would play the Crestwood-Melvindale winner in the semifinals on Thursday at Trenton.

The district championship game is noon Saturday at Trenton.

• Kennedy-Allen Park winner vs. Divine Child-Riverview winner, 5 p.m. at Trenton
• Crestwood-Melvindale winner vs. Trenton-Southwestern winner, 7 p.m. at Trenton

Saturday, Championship

• Semifinal winners, noon
