Woman Said Railroad Gates Struck Her Car

A Trenton woman told police she was crossing railroad tracks in her 2012 Lincoln MKZ when the railroad safety gates came down and struck her car at about 5 p.m. on King Road.

The woman said she was on eastbound King Road at the railroad tracks and after the train cleared and the gates went up she shifted her car into drive and began to cross the tracks.

She said the gates came down quickly and struck the right front portion of the hood of her car as she attempted to cross the tracks. The gates left white scratch marks on the hood of her car.

There was no second train and the gates went back up after striking her car. according to a report.
