Both men are due back in court on Sept. 12 at 1:30 p.m. Shelby Township Police Chief Robert Lehman said Bahoda is Elias' uncle and the two got into a fight with another family member, a 17-year-old from Shelby Township.

According to police, the fight started with an argument around 10 p.m. in the parking lot of Sweetjane Cafe, located on Market Street near Costco on Hall Road. Lehman said the fight escalated to pushing and shoving and then Bahoda pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the neck.
