This restaurant, located in the heart of central New Hampshire, has thousands of excellent customer reviews and ratings.

MANCHESTER, NH — Be prepared to drop about $70 if you order off the top of the menu at the Hanover Street Chophouse in Manchester, the most expensive restaurant in New Hampshire, according to a new ranking.

Love Food, whose content includes recipes, food news, and opinion pieces, said the list of upscale restaurants in every state includes everything from “old-school, mahogany-filled steakhouses to seafood spots right by the ocean.”

The picks are based on the priciest main course or tasting menu. Spots with just one very expensive dish were excluded.

“You do get sides with the prime bone-in rib-eye at Hanover Street Chophouse, which takes some of the sting out of its $70+ price tag. It’s the most expensive main on the menu, although a few others — including the $69 surf and turf, with filet mignon and lobster tail — come pretty close. Diners with more money to burn might want to start the meal off with a seafood tower (it costs $112 for the ‘colossal’ size).”

The Hanover Street Chophouse has thousands of positive reviews on Tripadvisor and Open Table.

Open Table gave the restaurant a 4.9 out of 5 based on more than 4,100 ratings. There were no 1 reviews and only a few 2 reviews.

“We had an amazing dinner this Saturday, on our second visit to Hanover Street Chop House,” one recent reviewer said. “Our server David was very attentive, professional, and friendly. The food is always incredible here! Worth it for any special occasion.”

Another wrote, “My wife and I stopped by for our anniversary dinner last night and oh my god I’m so glad we did. The wait staff was incredible, but not overbearing. Sometimes when you go out to fancy restaurants, the wait staff can be all over you and feel overwhelming, but not here. The portions were big and the taste was amazing. You definitely get your money’s worth here and we will absolutely be returning.”

On Trip Advisor, 524 people gave the restaurant excellent or good ratings with only 11 stating it was terrible. One reviewer said, “The filet with truffle butter was exceptional and the lamb chops were excellent. Even the sides were fantastic.” Another said, “I got choked up three times within the first 15 minutes of being there. My husband and I are in our 50's and live locally and I can't believe it took us this long to go to The Chophouse.”
