3 Charged with Armed Robbery in Crown Street Incident

More arrests in this case are expected, police say.

On 27 December 2013, at approximately 5:30 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Division responded to an apartment at 37 Crown Street for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival officers identified two victims, who reside together, who reported that four subjects had entered their apartment, assaulted them, and took a quantity of cash. One of the victims was struck in the head with a piece of PVC pipe and the second victim sustained minor injuries to his hand and head as a result of being slashed with a knife. 

Members of the Criminal Investigation Division were assigned to investigate the incident. As a result of their investigation they were able to charge the following individuals: 

1) Cassandra Gurley, age 21, of no fixed address, bail set at $25,000 cash, arraigned on December 30, 2013;

2) Richard Gurley, age 18, of 79 Ash Street, Nashua, NH, bail set at $25,000 cash, arraigned on December 31, 2013; 

3) Matthew Escamilla, age 25, of 23 Temple Street, apartment 119, Nashua, NH, refused bail, arraigned on December 31, 2013;

The above three individuals are all charged with burglary, class A felony; and robbery, class A felony. They are all being held at the Hillsborough County House of Correction. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected to be made.
