5 Things: Mix, Mingle, Massage at Chamber 'After Hours' Event

1. Rx for Binge Drinkers: A new study suggests doctors should be talking more to patients about their drinking habits. According to a new CDC report, only one in six adults talk to their doctor or nurse about their drinking habits. If patients were counseled on a regular basis, it could reduce how much alcohol they consume on an occasion by 25 percent. Read more here.
2. Are you Ready for Hillary, NH? A senior adviser for the group, Ready for Hillary, spent Monday courting local political officials, according to the Associated Press. He's promising that his organization will help New Hampshire Democrats in next fall's midterm elections. Ready for Hillary is a so-called super PAC building a national network to benefit Clinton should she decide to seek the presidency in 2016. The former secretary of state hasn't disclosed her plans. 4. Flu on the Rise: Flu season is upon us, and according to the latest reports, health officials are seeing a surge in new cases. Nearly half of the U.S. reports widespread influenza activity, with parts of the southern U.S. experiencing the highest rates of infection. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the majority of it is attributed to the H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu, which caused a worldwide panic in 2009.
