Nashua Man Sentenced To 37 Years To Life For Marshal Street Murder

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man has been sentenced to the NH State Prison for 37 years to life for the murder of Evangelos Ioannou at a Marshal Street apartment in 2022.

Joshua Shea was arrested after police responded to 4 Marshall St. for a man who had been stabbed in an apartment and in the common hallway of the large apartment building. Police searched the area for evidence and arrested Shea.

Friday, Joshua Shea pled guilty to second-degree murder, after admitting he recklessly, with extreme indifference to the value of human life, caused the death of Ioannou by repeatedly stabbing him.

The Court sentenced Shea to 37 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole in state prison. Shea also agreed to waive statutory relief under RSA 651:20, and both Shea and the State agreed to waive the right of sentence review.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Benjamin J. Agati and Assistant Attorney General Bethany J. Durand prosecuted the case, with Victim Witness Specialist Bianca Monroe providing assistance.
