Man Severely Injured When Jeep Overturns In Manahawkin Crash: Police

Anyone who witnessed the two-car crash Wednesday morning in Manahawkin is asked to contact Stafford police.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A Little Egg Harbor man was seriously injured in a two-car crash Wednesday morning in Manahawkin, Stafford police said.

Police responded to the crash at the intersection of McKinley Avenue and General Grier Boulevard shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A 2010 Dodge Journey, driven by a 32-year-old Manahawkin woman, was heading east on McKinley Avenue when she turned left in front of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler, police said. The vehicles collided, causing the Jeep to overturn and become significantly damaged, police said.

The Jeep's driver, a 67-year-old Little Egg Harbor man, was severely injured and hospitalized for further treatment, police said.

Traffic was diverted for about three hours.
