One Of Two McDonald's Restaurants Closes In Manahawkin

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - McDonald's has always had two restaurants to choose from in Manahawkin. Now there is only one.

The last day for the restaurant at 340 Route 72, on the eastbound side, was Tuesday. The signs have since been removed, according to app.com.

The McDonald's at 757 Route 72, on the westbound side of Route 72 near the Garden State Parkway remains open, a McDonald's spokeswoman said.

“We are grateful to our hardworking restaurant team who provided years of dedicated service, all of whom have been offered jobs at our other restaurants, and we thank the Manahawkin community for their patronage," said Sandy Chapman, a McDonald's owner and operator, in a statement released through McDonald's corporate.

"We look forward to continuing to serve our customers at one of our other McDonald's restaurants in the area," she said.
