Beloved Somerville Wife, Mother Dies Unexpectedly At Age 59
Sheri Diodato was a kind, compassionate, and generous individual always putting others' needs before hers, according to her obituary.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Sheri Diodato (nee Kelly) sadly and unexpectedly passed away on March 15, 2024, in Somerville, at the age of 59.
She was born on Dec. 31, 1964, in Flemington. Sheri spent 28 years in Branchburg before splitting time between Somerville and Myrtle Beach, SC (her happy place).
Sheri was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was also a well-loved member of the community in Branchburg/Somerville.

Sheri was a kind, compassionate, and generous individual always putting others’ needs before hers. She was fiercely devoted to her husband, Anthony (Tony) Diodato, her sons, Andrew and Colin, her dog Desi, her family, and her friends.
Her joys were entertaining family and friends, she always welcomed everyone. She loved to take vacations and cruise with family and friends to many different locations. Sheri's warm and caring nature left a lasting impact on all who knew and loved her.

She graduated from Bridgewater Raritan High School before earning her Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University. She was a Business Analyst at Hoffman-La Roche and then Hoechst Celanse for 25 years.
Sheri was most proud of her job of being a mom to Andrew and Colin. Her dedication extended beyond her career as she actively participated in Booster Clubs for her boys Soccer, Lacrosse, and Unified Bowling teams. She also cherished spending time at the beach and at her home in Myrtle Beach, always prioritizing her sons' interests and well-being.
Sheri will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony (Tony) Diodato; dear sons, Andrew and Colin; mother, Barbara Kelly; brother, James Kelly Jr. (April); sister, Lisa Fennell (Marty); in-laws, Philip Diodato (Amy), Mary Storms (Bob), nieces and nephews: Samantha (David), Christopher, Kevin (Eileen), Rachel, Jacquelyn, Louisa (Garrett), Michael (Liz), Ethan (Macy), and Matthew; as well as her grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Margot, Louis, Oliver and Faye.
Sheri is preceded in death by her beloved father, James Kelly, and her in-laws, Philip Diodato Sr. and Jennie Diodato.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 21 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg.
A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Friday, March 22 at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard R.C. Church in Bridgewater.
Committal is private.
